Rose Ayling-Ellis

Rose Ayling-Ellis was born on November 17, 1994 in Shepway, Kent, England, UK. She is an actress and producer, known for Rose Ayling-Ellis: Signs for Change (2023), Code of Silence and Reunion.

She is the first deaf contestant to participate in Strictly Come Dancing (2004), her and her partner Giovanni Pernice would later on be crowned champions of the 2021 series. On 13th November 2021 they danced their couples choice to the song Symphony by Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson and halfway through the dance the lights and music was turned off for 15 seconds to give viewers a glimpse into Rose's world. The duo received an overwhelming response from judges and fans and Zara Larsson the original singer of the song they danced to praised the pair on her Instagram story saying how moved she was by their dance to her song.
She presented the Paris Paralympics in 2024 along with Clare Balding on Channel 4.
She appeared in the music video for The Vamps- Middle of the Night in 2017.
In August 2022 she unveiled the first Barbie doll with hearing aids.
